About MedPlus
Two people who've actually sat the HPAT, and scored in the top 1%, built MedPlus around what actually works.
Aaron Keane wanted to get into medicine badly. As a Leaving Cert student and a busy international athlete, he understood exactly the kind of pressure the HPAT puts on students — on top of an already packed final year. He put in the work, acquiring the skills to score 201 and land in the 99th percentile in 2020.

At university, studying medicine in Galway, he met James Bourke. The two quickly found they agreed on something most HPAT prep gets wrong: that structure and realistic practice matter more than volume, and that the best teaching comes from people who've recently sat the exam themselves rather than a generic test-prep formula.

That shared approach to teaching became the foundation of everything they've built since.
Aaron went on to found Leaving Cert Plus, growing it to over 25,000 users in its first year, working in collaboration with publisher CJ Fallon. All the while, Aaron and James kept teaching together — running crash courses and live grinds through James' HPATTeacher.com, refining their methods with hundreds of students along the way.
MedPlus: the same standard, built for HPAT
MedPlus is the HPAT prep platform Aaron and James wished they'd had — full-length mock exams, bite-sized videos, realistic HPAT-style questions, and live crash courses and tutoring, all built by people who've actually sat the exam and scored in the top 1%.
MedPlus is a product of the same team behind Leaving Cert Plus and HPATTeacher.com — bringing that same standard of content and teaching to HPAT preparation.
MedPlus is being built with one goal — to give every HPAT student the structure, confidence and real exam practice they need to perform on the day.
